We all knew the year of 2020 would be of utmost importance even before it began. “2020” started as a reflection on the concept of "Alternative Facts" and as time went by, it extended to integrate current events such as the COVID pandemic and the death of George Floyd. The dramaturgy was created using excerpts of "The notebooks of Malte Laurids Brigge" of R.M. Rilke.

Magnify the Sound

Magnify the Sound
 will present a 20 minute live musical performance from 3 different locations in Norway exploring the interplay and live processing between drums/percussion and electric guitar. The ensemble consists of Trond Engum guitar/electronics, Carl Haakon Waadeland drums/percussion and Thomas Henriksen live production. They have performed together since 2010 in various constellations exploring the interplay between acoustic instruments and live processing in a free improvisation context. The technology will incorporate JackTrip audio routed into Zoom.

Proceeds from this event will be donated to Artist Relief to support artists during the COVID-19 crisis.

OptoSonic Tea [UnLock] (BYOTea)

OptoSonic Tea (Katherine Liberovskaya, Ursula Scherrer), NowNet Arts, and the Parrish Art Museum join forces to present OptoSonic [UnLock] (BYOTea), a community collaborative, audio-visual live improvisation network event with 70 artists internationally.
